what we do

TOGETHER WE CAN POWER THE BRIGHT FUTURE

ELECTRIC POWER GENERATION, TRANSMISSION & DISTRIBUTION

The Generation, Transmission and Distribution of Electricity.Transmission and Distribution refer to different ways in which electricity is carried from generators to customers. Once energy is generated, it is carried to homes, businesses, and industry via a system of electrical wires known as the Grid.

PLUMBING, HEAT AND AIR-CONDITIONING

Plumbing uses pipes, valves, plumbing fixtures, tanks, and other apparatuses to convey fluids. Heating and cooling (HVAC), waste removal, and potable water delivery are among the most common uses for plumbing, but it is not limited to these applications.

MANUFACTURE OF OVENS FURNACES & FURNACE BURNERS

A furnace burner is an essential part of a furnace system. It works by mixing fuel with air to create combustion that generates heat. Different furnaces use different burners (such as oil-fired or gas-fired) depending on the type of furnace they're connected to

Project capacity:

Project capacity: (MW/megawatts) 10 MW, First phase 5.8second phase 4.2 Off taker: TANESCO Aim Of The Project >To improve energy generation need in Tanzania /To strengthen the power grid of the nearby area, result in reduction of generation cost in the region to reduce the impact of global warming, greenhouse gas emissions and acid rains. >To enhance aspirations of the Ministry of Energy and TANESCO in achieving goals of providing cost effective and reliable power generation and distribution within the country. By initiating the plans and vision of Kizengi Energy a new 5.8MWAC/7 MWDC Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant will be installed in 48 Ha. of land at Mabeshi Village ,Uyui District .That area has potential to provide clean reliable 24/7 power to the Tabora communities. The site has a solar radiation of 5.85kWh/m2/ day & 5.78 kWh/m2/day at horizontal and tilted surface respectively, as per METEONORM Meteorological data source. The Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant will generate approximately 10000 MWh per annum.

development steps

We have made a big step in project development. The following information are in our possession: 1. Letter of Intent (LOI) with TANESCO 2. Property ownership of 100 acres 3. Pre- feasibility study 4. Business model 5. Discussion with Local Financial Institutions 6. Discussion with some investors with interest to invest in the plant. THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE The success of this project is much on having a usable and reliable energy. Reliability is foremost for the communities in Tabora with frequent outages and load shedding procedures hampering many commercial, industrial, Educational and Residential routines in a way that is disruptive .The major disruptions primarily include industrial processes, commercial businesses, street and home lighting, internet & Wi-Fi access and entertainment access. Diesel generators have for a long time been the answer to overcome the power issues, however, these backup systems are noisy and harmful to the environment due to atmospheric pollution. They also rely on getting your hands on the fuel that operates them. With rising prices in fossil fuels, these are sometimes out of the reach for the many.
FINANCING Kizengi Energy endeavors to address the matter by executing the proposed Solar Power PV Project to enhance the services in renewable energy country wide. Such initiatives require the need for a Local and International fundraising exercise to build a Solar PV Power Plant that will ensure implementation and commissioning of the project. The proposed 5.8 MWAC/7 MWDC solar photovoltaic power project will be based on MONOPERC technology with Central Inverters. The complete structure is proposed to Fixed Tilt Arrangement. Due to financial limitations, we have found it is essential to develop innovative funding mechanism to mobilize resources from other sources. These will be made by the following listed options 1. Mix (Finance and Equity 2.Concession 3.Equity 4.Finance 5.Grants We are seeking to secure 100% funding for the project cost development of USD 7,148,000 . We propose that a Land of 100 acres will form part of the security for investment. CURRENT STATUS: 1. Detailed studies to include environmental (Social) impact assessment and Grid Impact Assessment are in progress 2. Discussion with financial institutions 3. Discussion with interested investors 4. Registration of the project to relevant government authorities to include TIC. Once the project registered to Tanzania Investment Centre will qualify to incentives including: 1. Fiscal incentive- import duty on project deemed capital at 75% and 0% import on capital goods. e.g plants, machinery, tools equipment’s and various building which are used to produce other products for consumption 2. Non fiscal incentive- investment guarantees, transfer of capital profit etc, exploration, settlement of dispute, automotive and Immigration.

IMPORTANCE OF PROJECT AND SOCIAL IMPACT

Economic Advantages -Diversification of the energy matrix by decreasing the dependence & consumption of fossil fuel for the generation of electricity. - Thousands of tons of Oil and other lubricants are no longer consumed annually throughout the life of the solar project with their respective transportation costs, in addition to operating and maintenance costs. - It decreases the marginal cost of generation and the cost of energy delivered to consumers. - It supposes sources of generation in a very fast synchronization manner and response to meteorological events and other disasters. - It covers the demand during the peak at noon. - Solar pant will provide affordable electricity across the country and can stabilize energy price in future. Environmental & Technology Advantages - The systems are mostly pre-assembled, simple and easy to install which results to less environmental impacts. - It comes from an inexhaustible and free source of energy. - It does not create noise pollution. -The project does not directly or indirectly affect the protected areas or the ecological reserves or the areas with environmental Restrictions of any kind. - It will permanently reduce significant amount of emissions of polluting gases from the atmosphere. -Less carbon emission to the atmosphere. -Power generation does not cause environmental impact due to emission or dumping of substances. - The operation and maintenance of the solar power plant requires less water consumption or lubricants and does not cause discharge of liquid or solid waste to the environment. -It facilitates for future expansion of the power plant. - It reduces the losses in the electrical system when connected to the distribution network. - High adaptable and versatile as the systems can be installed almost anywhere and the facilities can be of any size depending on the area of the land. - Technology in the solar power industry is constantly advancing and improvements will intensify in the future. - The solar power plant requires little maintenance and have very low risk of damages. Social Advantages - It generates new employment options for skilled labors. - Production of solar energy is less expensive than burning fossil fuels, which is the traditional method of generating electricity. - Solar panels do not emit hazardous pollution into the air and solar energy does not the atmosphere or cause global warming. -It allows the improvement of people’s health by reducing the emission of gases and pollution in fluvial sources.
